Position: Project Engineer Location: Casper, WY
Assist Operations with planning, design oversight and technical support for existing and new projects, equipment specification, installation, troubleshooting and start-up phases. Will work in the Office, Shop, vendor sites and under all weather conditions in the field.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning, organizing, implementing, oversight, and cost tracking of projects
Report and present activities and progress to Management
Assist in supporting the design and implementation of capital equipment
Support routine operation drilling activities
Assist operation staff as needed including equipment management, safety engineering, and process improvement
Identify and manage asset integrity and reliability risks that could adversely affect drilling or business operations.
Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect operations
Travel as necessary to and from drilling rig sites while assisting engineering and operations
Skills and Abilities Required:
Self-starter and independent working attributes are essential
Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
Scheduling and budgeting abilities
Must possess a strong desire to learn and work in the Oil and Gas Industry
An understanding of basic engineering concepts
Basic knowledge of safety principals
Excellent computer and problem solving skills
Strong experience in Solidworks and Microsoft Office a plus
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors or higher degree in an engineering discipline (Preference on Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Applied Engineering). Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without restriction.
